What is the SIA Training for Door Supervisors Course?

The SIA licence-linked Training is for anyone who is wanting to take their first step to working in the security industry. Door Supervisors, it includes safety-critical content including updated counter-terror training and advice for emergencies and incidents. This course is taught out over 6 days however there is an additional day at the start of the week if you choose to take the Emergency First Aid at Work course

Pre-Course Requirements

Please not that prior to joining the course you must have a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate with a minimum of 12 months left at the start date of the course. Online First Aid course will not be accepted. Don’t have a First Aid Certificate? No problem there is an option to add on an Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification below.  

You will also be expected to pass a basic English exam which will take place prior to the course commencing.

You will need to have completed the distance learning module of the course prior to the course commencing, failure to have this completed will result in your refusal to join the course.

Description

Course Overview

The course runs over six days and is divided into four units:

  • Working in the Private Security Industry
  • Working as a Door Supervisor
  • Conflict Management
  • Physical Intervention.

Prior to the course commencing you must have achieved a minimum of a one day Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate and have the ability to complete a basic Level 1 English Exam. Don’t worry if you do not have a First Aid certificate as the day before the course we run a First Aid course. Please not that an online First aid Certificate will not be accepted.
